Been busy but some funny stories

sorry been busy but updates here

Tuesday, caught an elderly man urinating on a post... i swear I was just looking through a tiny circle that blocked everything except the head of his penis which is now stuck in my head. When I asked maintenance to clean it up I was asked why I didn't have him arrested. I said he was an elderly old man who said it will not happen again. I directed him to use the public bathrooms.

Wednesday, I caught another elderly man trying to break into MY car. Pretty dumb to try to break in the security person's car. He gave me a song and dance about looking to buy a car like mine... my car is a 2010, it was full of stuff from my cabin. He got in his 2020 sun and drove off. ...

Today, Thursday,  I was checking the locks at the currently closed for Coronavirus hair school. Some Maintance was done on it the last few days and apparently someone left a door unlocked. I went to check the premises for anyone that shouldn't be there, and an alarm goes off. So I'm walking through this big school room to room with an alarm going off. On top of it there were random manikin heads everywhere, so it kept looking like people in the dark...

Well thats it for now

Testing

Sorry I did not write yesterday.  I had a soare throat and had to work. I got home ans went to bed after making some soup. I feel somewhat better today. My throat does at least. I do have bad headaches. They finally released the coronavirus tests to essential workers, so I took a test today. Only out of caution. I went through a drive thru facility.  I had to wait two hours in line. I thought to myself, what if someone's car runs out of gas. They wouldn't let anyone open a window. I had to pee so bad at the end of it. I get up there to find out that I had to administer my own test! It was quite difficult.  It's why I'm not a medical worker, I just do not have the stomach for it. Erie county today released over 1000 more positive tests in one days time. I cannot imagine if they had the true numbers when this started and Cuomo seemed to think that we only needed 300 tests for a population of near one million.  Ironically he sent more tests to Monroe County, which has 200,000 less people than Erie Couty. I truely feel Cuomo was trying to mask the fact WNY had the virus. This way he could focus everything on NYC and ignore the rest of us peasants outside of the Kingdom of NYC. Anyhow, I am done writing. Back to laying down. I hope I don't have this.

Masks

So NY state made a new mask rule. People need to wear a mask within 6 feet of eachother and all essential employees need to wear masks.
Today my boss finally brought me a mask. I very much appreciated his gesture although the mask I've been using is better. So for not I am sticking to using the mask I have. Especially because one mask he brought only covers my mouth or nose, not both and what ever is in the material made my skin itch, and the other one I brought looks like it should go over a dog snout.
I did my daily security in the office halls. No one was wearing a mask. I can understand people in an office by themselves not wearing a mask, but I saw people hovering over eachother, looking at the same computer screen, no mask...
Because my car was frozen it took me slightly longer to get to work so I had no time to get breakfast.  Between my security check points I stopped at a sub shop for a breakfast sub. The manager there was not wearing a mask. When I asked her why she said that she was further than six feet from me. I explained that from what I understand of the law, essential workers are now required to wear a mask and only regular people does the six feet adhere to. Besides the fact she definitely wasn't six feet from the food she was preparing.  She didn't seem to care. I was tempted to say forget it, I won't eat then. But I also did not want to hear a complaint from my employer of me being a jerk and it was my only food option at that time. As the day has gone on I have came to the conclusion that 98% of the essential employees in this plaza are not wearing a mask. I wish I could report it but I am not sure it that would affect my job in the same. And I'm sure people would hate me after that making my job more miserable that it already is at times. This is the main reason I keep my blog anaomous.  Although,  I do hope maybe someone with some influence may happen upon my blog and crack the whip on making people wear masks.
I read an article yesterday about how a family was not allowed in a tornado storm shelter because they didn't have enough masks. As I walked through the hallway of one of my checkpoints I thought about that article.  I couldn't leave a child in danger. I wondered to myself why didn't someone take off their shirt and rip it to make the family some sort of mask?
People are so selfish and self absorbed.  "I don't want to wear a mask so I don't"... is all I hear from these self absorbed people.  Do you think I enjoy having not face breakout from wearing a mask? No, I definitely do not. Do you think I like having my nose squashed and my ears pulled on all day? No, I do not.  But I do my part in trying to avoid the spread of this virus. I am just ashamed at how selfish people really are. It's making me really start to hate people more than I already do.

The never ending Saint Patrick's day

After Coronavirus shut down New York State, my job got harder. No I am not a nurse or grocery or food worker. I am a security officer at a local plaza. The plaza is quite large. Three schools, one church, any attorney's and medical places, a few restaurants,  many stores, different types of office spaces, and even a DMV... When many places got shut down as non-essential it seemed that Saint Patrick's day lasted forever. Now long past Saint Patrick's day,  April fools, Easter, Dyngus Day (A Polish Holiday that is celebrated here in my area) .... still Saint Patrick's Day in many windows. I used to love Saint Patrick's Day but not sure I will ever look at the day the same.
It shocks me every day how rude people are not to cover their faces. I have been since this all started. Especially at my job. I wonder when I get prepared food if someone may have talked over it or coughed on it. It seems no one preparing food wears a mask. I heard today that Chicago is finally enforcing the masks around food. I wish that they would here.
My zipcode in my area was the first most hard hit zipcode. Mostly because many low income hospital workers live in my zipcode. Now its changed to the high income doctors zipcode.
I had been making all of these plans for fixing up my cabin I got last spring. I was so excited Winter was ending and it was a short winter for WNY. I started working on my cabin. I even got an electrician trying to figure out the electrical issues to get power finally this year. I especially needed power because my neighbors last year that let me run an extention cord off of their power, unfortunately passed away over the winter. So I definitely needed to get the power going. I had plans to build an addition with a new bathroom with catch basins for water. I had someone offering to help give me some wood toward the job and a friend who works in construction helping me. Then I got the call.... they are closing down our cabin area for Coronavirus.  Arg, another kick in the ass. My one place to escape this drama.... so yeah, I know many people have it worse, loosing relatives and such, but still frustrated.
My 18 year old son who has many mental issues at the start of the quarenteen got diarrhea and vomiting.  And he many times didn't make it to the toilet.  So the limited toilet paper got used very fast. The disinfectant was gone in a few days. I had to keep working fulltime and come home to clean up things I'd rather not describe.  Let's just say, highly unpleasant and I don't have the stomach for unpleasant.
A week later his computer broke, so he has been griping like a baby about it for weeks now. We brought it to one of the few computer repair places open. The repair guy only made the computer worse. I didn't dare try to fix his computer,  because although I have a lot of the know how,  the last thing I wanted to risk was breaking his computer more and listening to him gripe about it the rest of my life. Unfortunately my son is a very miserable young man. Nothing will make him happy. When he was 12 my parents brought him to Disney World and most of the time he complained.  The kid has been a mess since his father dropped out of being a father when my son was 11 & 1/2...
Well, anyways .... I'm hoping Saint Patrick's day will end before the next Saint Patrick's day.  Although,  if it doesn't, sure could save time decorating again.....
I know I will never look at Saint Patrick's day the same again.
UPDATE... NYS now requires Masks for essential employees as of 8pm
