The never ending Saint Patrick's day

After Coronavirus shut down New York State, my job got harder. No I am not a nurse or grocery or food worker. I am a security officer at a local plaza. The plaza is quite large. Three schools, one church, any attorney's and medical places, a few restaurants,  many stores, different types of office spaces, and even a DMV... When many places got shut down as non-essential it seemed that Saint Patrick's day lasted forever. Now long past Saint Patrick's day,  April fools, Easter, Dyngus Day (A Polish Holiday that is celebrated here in my area) .... still Saint Patrick's Day in many windows. I used to love Saint Patrick's Day but not sure I will ever look at the day the same.
It shocks me every day how rude people are not to cover their faces. I have been since this all started. Especially at my job. I wonder when I get prepared food if someone may have talked over it or coughed on it. It seems no one preparing food wears a mask. I heard today that Chicago is finally enforcing the masks around food. I wish that they would here.
My zipcode in my area was the first most hard hit zipcode. Mostly because many low income hospital workers live in my zipcode. Now its changed to the high income doctors zipcode.
I had been making all of these plans for fixing up my cabin I got last spring. I was so excited Winter was ending and it was a short winter for WNY. I started working on my cabin. I even got an electrician trying to figure out the electrical issues to get power finally this year. I especially needed power because my neighbors last year that let me run an extention cord off of their power, unfortunately passed away over the winter. So I definitely needed to get the power going. I had plans to build an addition with a new bathroom with catch basins for water. I had someone offering to help give me some wood toward the job and a friend who works in construction helping me. Then I got the call.... they are closing down our cabin area for Coronavirus.  Arg, another kick in the ass. My one place to escape this drama.... so yeah, I know many people have it worse, loosing relatives and such, but still frustrated.
My 18 year old son who has many mental issues at the start of the quarenteen got diarrhea and vomiting.  And he many times didn't make it to the toilet.  So the limited toilet paper got used very fast. The disinfectant was gone in a few days. I had to keep working fulltime and come home to clean up things I'd rather not describe.  Let's just say, highly unpleasant and I don't have the stomach for unpleasant.
A week later his computer broke, so he has been griping like a baby about it for weeks now. We brought it to one of the few computer repair places open. The repair guy only made the computer worse. I didn't dare try to fix his computer,  because although I have a lot of the know how,  the last thing I wanted to risk was breaking his computer more and listening to him gripe about it the rest of my life. Unfortunately my son is a very miserable young man. Nothing will make him happy. When he was 12 my parents brought him to Disney World and most of the time he complained.  The kid has been a mess since his father dropped out of being a father when my son was 11 & 1/2...
Well, anyways .... I'm hoping Saint Patrick's day will end before the next Saint Patrick's day.  Although,  if it doesn't, sure could save time decorating again.....
I know I will never look at Saint Patrick's day the same again.
UPDATE... NYS now requires Masks for essential employees as of 8pm
